
About Mahinda Kommalage
I obtained my first degree, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1997 from University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
I obtained the degree of Medicine Licentiat (Ph L) and PhD in 2001 and 2005 respectively from Uppsala University, Sweden.
In 1999, I jointed the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka as a lecturer.
In 2000, I jointed the department of Neruroscience, Uppsala University as a researcher where he worked in a project on Spinal cord pain transmission.
In 2005, I resumed duty as a senior lecturer in the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka.
Currently I am engaged in several research projects: Neurological parameters in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, usage of information technology in undergraduate education, usage of websites as medium of disseminating health information in Sri Lanka and medical education.
